The Santo Domingo de Teguise Convent did not register a complete sell-out at the concert of the Polish Chamber Philarmonic Orchestra, the group in charge of opening the program of the Canary Islands Music Festival. However, those who came to the place say it was a magnificent performance.

At the concert they performed two works by Johan Sebastian Bach, which were the 'Suite No. 1, in C major, BWV 1066' and the 'Cantata Ich habe genug, BWV 82'. In addition, they closed with a work by Shostakovich, the 'Chamber Symphony, Op. 110 A'.

The rest of the concerts scheduled for the Canary Islands Music Festival are distributed as follows: violinist Eva León and pianist Daniel Epstein will perform on Thursday, January 19 at 9:00 p.m. at the Teatro de San Bartolomé; pianist Ananda Sukarlan, accordionist Ángel Luis Castaño and the Aragón String Quartet on Wednesday, January 25 at 9:00 p.m. at the Convento de Santo Domingo, in Teguise; tenor Jorge Perdigón and pianist Sigfredo Rosales on Tuesday, January 31 at 9:00 p.m. at the Teatro de San Bartolomé; the group Alquimia Música y Danza Tres Culturas will close the concert tour with the performance they will offer on Wednesday, February 8 at 9:00 p.m. at the Teatro de Tías.

The Canary Islands Music Festival is organized by the Government of the Canary Islands through its Vice-Ministry of Culture and Sports, and the Education and Culture area of ​​the Cabildo de Lanzarote collaborates.

Tickets to all concerts cost 10 euros and can be purchased at the El Almacén Island Cultural Center in Arrecife, at the Municipal Tourist Offices of Puerto del Carmen and Costa Teguise, at Viajes Óptima Travel in Playa Blanca and at the Casa Santiago restaurant in Teguise.
