Numerous rap metal lovers gathered in front of the stage
located in the Arrecife Theme Park, on Reducto beach.
Arrecife vibrated with the rock sound of Def con dos. The Madrid group
Def con dos celebrated its 20 years on stage with numerous lovers
of rap metal, who gathered this Friday in front of the stage
located in the Theme Park of the capital, in the vicinity of the
Reducto beach, to enjoy this pop rock concert. The Councilor for Celebrations, Víctor Sanginés, also came there.
As they had announced hours before, during the presentation of this
first concert of the San Ginés festivities, the members
of the Madrid group Def con dos reviewed for more than an hour
of performance to the entire discography of these 20 years of existence, from
the best-known hits to the oldest songs they have recovered
for the "20 years tour, against all odds", which began in Zaragoza
last February.
Thus, César Fresa (voice), Juanito Sangre (voice), Peón Kurtz (the
first known as Coronel Kurtz, voices and programming), Manolo
Tejeringo (guitar), Kiki Tornado (drums), and J. Al Ándalus
(programming, production and guitars), with its peculiar combination
musical of rap and metal, presented in Arrecife their latest album, "It's All Def con Dos's Fault",
with which they celebrate their twentieth anniversary.
With ten albums released since 1990, this group has been the author of songs
for soundtracks of films such as "The Day of the Beast", "Fast & Furious
4: even faster" or "Black Tuno".
In his new work, he presents an album of greatest hits, a biography,
three documentaries and all the band's music videos, as well as a
tribute album featuring artists such as Andrés Calamaro or
Huecco.
As will be remembered, the band temporarily separated in 1999, leaving a
Dogmatophobia compilation. After a few years of silence, they returned in 2004
with the album Recargando. During those five years of separation, the
band members embarked on different projects, among which
highlights the formation Strawberry Hardcore, founded by the singer César
Strawberry, guitarist Manolo Tejeringo and drummer Kiki Tornado.
This band is still active in parallel today. In 2006 they released "6
dementes contra el mundo", a compilation album of his career.
It should be noted that the name of the group alludes to the alert system
used by the Pentagon, where DEFCON-2 was defined as a state
of global agitation, although without reaching military confrontations between
the countries.
Other performances
The local groups Skirla accompanied the people from Madrid in the concert,
Zambielove, Julaga Enterprise and Dj Ze Pequeño, who surprised the
public for its great quality.
In addition, this Saturday the second pop rock concert was held with Los
Rebeldes as guest artists, as well as the Lanzarote bands Cumbia
Ebria, Waiting List, Faktotum and Dj Taí Arenao, which also had
an important presence of public.
