The Festivities Area of the Arrecife City Council, led by Encarna Páez, has announced that the Arrecife Carnival already has an allegory for 2024: the Wild West.
According to what they have explained from the consistory, "the choice of this theme is due to the great variety of possibilities it offers for the design of costumes, floats and performances by the murgas and comparsas." In addition, they have highlighted that it is a fun and original allegory, which invites participation and enjoyment for all audiences.
"We want Arrecife to become a great western party and we are sure that citizens will surprise us with their original designs," said the acting mayor, Astrid Pérez.
For her part, the Councilor for Festivities, Encarna Páez, explained that "we are working with great enthusiasm and effort to organize an unforgettable carnival, which is an example of coexistence and joy. We want Arrecife to be a benchmark for carnival in the Canary Islands and that everyone who visits us takes away a good memory."
