The Minister of Culture of the Government of the Canary Islands, Inés Rojas, the president of the Cabildo, Pedro San Ginés and the mayor of Arrecife, Cándido Reguera, together with the head of Tunera Producciones, Eduardo Ferrer, presented this Thursday, in the assembly hall of the Municipal Archive of Arrecife, the concerts of Amaral and Marea, which the aforementioned production company will bring to Lanzarote before the end of the year.

Thanks to the co-sponsorship of the three institutions in equal parts and the collaboration of private companies, Lanzarote residents will be able to enjoy the concert of the Navarrese group Marea on November 11 and the concert of Amaral on December 2. Both shows will take place in the fairground tent.

The capital's first mayor, Cándido Reguera, positively valued the celebration of quality concerts that the formula used in other islands to co-sponsor concerts "so that the people of Lanzarote can also enjoy great artists" and has invited the institutions to repeat this gesture also in San Ginés.

Reguera insisted on the impact on the island's economy of this type of event. "Without a doubt, concerts generate an economic impact on the capital's restaurant businesses, since the celebration of an event of this magnitude has an important dynamizing effect on the economy," he pointed out.

The public officials of the Government of the Canary Islands, Cabildo and Arrecife City Council also agreed to highlight the importance of culture "also in times of crisis" and encouraged the population to fill the fairground tent.

The two musical groups will come to Lanzarote, on their tour of the Canary Islands, to present their latest musical works by Tunera Producciones, and are sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of the Government of the Canary Islands, the Island Youth Service of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and the Department of Youth of the Arrecife City Council.

Tickets for these concerts are already on sale through the CajaTique service of Caja de Canarias and at the usual points of sale; Terraza Heineken (CC Deiland), PCAN Gas Station in Valterra, FT Hardware Stores (Arrecife, Tías and Playa Blanca, the surf shops Salomé and Pampero in Arrecife.

The price of tickets for the two concerts will be 20 euros for advance purchase and 23 euros at the box office.

The rock band from Navarra, Marea, is one of the ones that has generated the most expectation in recent times in the national scene, both among the public and among specialized media. They will present their latest work "En mi hambre mando yo", which has just gone on sale on September 27.

Marea has hung the "No tickets" sign at all the concerts on the tour that will bring them through Lanzarote.

For this occasion, the Lanzarote group Galiot will be the opening act for Marea, giving local musicians the opportunity to share the stage with national-level artists.

Three albums and several years later, Amaral returns to Lanzarote as one of the most successful groups in Spain and with thousands of fans around the world. They will also come with a new album under their arm "Hacia lo salvaje", which in the first week of its release has been a Gold Record and number one on the main sales charts.
