The Multiple Sclerosis Association of Lanzarote (ALaNEm) has offered its facilities to the Canary Islands Health Service, so that the health professionals of the island can use it as one more resource in the fight to overcome the coronavirus pandemic.

"In these times we must contribute our grain of sand to the numerous professionals who are working tirelessly to care for and heal the people who are battling against the coronavirus," said the president of ALaNEm.

The Multiple Sclerosis Association of Lanzarote is currently providing telematic assistance and wanted to show its support because it understands "how hard it is to fight every day against a disease that has no cure." It also highlights that people with multiple sclerosis are a group at risk due to the coronavirus pandemic and that in Lanzarote, there are about 100 people diagnosed with this autoimmune disease.
