The digital newspaper Abc.es, of national scope, has chosen Los Charcones, in Yaiza, as one of the 10 best natural pools in Spain. Along with Los Charcones, places such as Rascafría, in Madrid, are highlighted; the Termas de Orense; the Garganta de los Infiernos, in Cáceres; the Fuentes del Algar, in Alicante; Arenas de San Pedro, in Ávila; La Fontcalda, in Tarragona; the Paraje de las Chorreras, in Cuenca; the Charco Azul, in La Palma and Punta Pedrera, in Ibiza.
The journalist Miguel Muñiz includes Los Charcones in this list because he assures that "it is worth discovering this enclave of the island, completely away from the hustle and bustle, despite having a somewhat complicated access". Located between Playa Blanca and Las Salinas de Janubio, the editor highlights that in this place of Lanzarote "there are different pools of crystal clear waters, some deeper than others, which delight young and old".
To this recognition we must also add that just a few weeks ago, this same digital newspaper chose the beaches of Papagayo as one of the most beautiful in Spain. Therefore, from Turismo Lanzarote it is considered that "this type of recognition strengthens the positioning of the island as a sun and beach destination, and at the same time, allows us to improve our image in the national market".
