A new boat has been intercepted this Friday afternoon near the coasts of Lanzarote, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.

There were 43 people on board the boat. Maritime Rescue has transferred the occupants to Puerto Naos where they have been attended by the Red Cross. One of the occupants had to be evacuated to Molina Orosa due to different pathologies.

With this, there are already seven boats that have arrived on the island this week. This Thursday a boat with 56 people was rescued, on Wednesday another with 66 and on Tuesday there were four. In total, 376 migrants have arrived on the island.
