The crew of an easyJet flight from London Gatwick Airport bound for Tenerife South Airport reported the presence of twelve disruptive passengers on board to air traffic control services, a situation that led to a request for police presence to receive the aircraft after landing.
According to the official account of Air Traffic Controllers on the social network X, the flight pilots alerted of the incident during the approach to the island. Faced with this situation, the controllers facilitated the aircraft's arrival "by shortening the maneuver as much as possible" to expedite its landing.
Air traffic tracking data consulted on Flightradar24 identifies the aircraft as flight EZY75VL (U28035), operated by easyJet between London-Gatwick (LGW) and Tenerife South (TFS) with an Airbus A321neo, registration G-UZMC.
The plane landed without incident and the operation proceeded normally despite the problems recorded during the journey.
From the air traffic controllers' account, they also conveyed their support to both passengers and crews who are forced to face these types of situations during flights, emphasizing the importance of maintaining safety on board.
For the moment, no details have emerged about the nature of the incidents caused by the travelers or about a possible subsequent action by security forces once the aircraft arrived in Tenerife South.
