A woman, who responds to the initials R.M.R.S., 37 years old and a resident of Arrecife, was arrested on November 15, for her alleged participation in a crime of continued theft. This person allegedly committed her robberies in a tourist complex in Puerto del Carmen where she worked.

The investigation began as a result of a series of thefts that had been occurring in the apartments of said tourist complex. This person, allegedly, would have stolen from the apartments where she worked an amount of cash of about 180 pounds sterling in foreign currency and about 500 euros, as well as jewelry worth approximately 2400 euros, from where she obtained about 700 euros from the sale of these.

The Local Police has conveyed the difficulty involved in the investigation carried out, because the events occurred "sporadically", "in designated areas of the complex" and "at unusual times", since the detainee was allegedly stealing "small amounts of money and small gold objects", so that their owners would not notice their absence.

Therefore, it was necessary to establish a monitoring and surveillance device prolonged in time to clarify the facts, which led on November 15 to agents of the Investigation Group of the Civil Guard of the Tías Post in collaboration with agents of the Local Police of the same municipality and the Judicial Police Brigade of the National Police Corps in Arrecife to arrest the woman. The stolen jewels have been recovered in their entirety.
