Two people have been injured after leaving the road and falling off a bridge on the LZ 2 near the Machacadora de Tías. The incident occurred at approximately 3:00 p.m. this Friday, when, for reasons unknown, the car in which they were traveling left the road and fell down an embankment. At that time, a call alerted the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands, reporting the incident.
Agents from the Local Police, Civil Guard, Civil Protection, firefighters, and two ambulances from the SUC have traveled to the scene. The SUC medical personnel provided initial assistance to the injured. A 42-year-old woman who presented with a head injury and a 41-year-old man who presented with minor chest injuries. Both injured are of Italian nationality and have been transferred to Molina Orosa.
The Lanzarote firefighters have collaborated with the health services to assist the injured and in cleaning the road. The Civil Guard has carried out the corresponding report.
