Firefighters extinguished two fires in two homes in Lanzarote on Friday night, one in Puerto del Carmen and the other in Costa Teguise, according to the Emergency Consortium.
The first of them occurred in a house on Grecia Street in the tourist town of Puerto del Carmen. Agents from the Local Police, Civil Guard, Boluntis, Civil Protection and the Emergency Consortium went to the scene. The fire was located in the pool's heat pump, which was extinguished practically with water. Subsequently, the Civil Guard provides the keys to Boluntis, who access the villa and cut off the electricity to the pool's engine room for safety.
The second took place on La Laguna Street in Costa Teguise. After being alerted by the CECOES, agents from the Local Police and firefighters were dispatched. Once on the scene, they found that a wooden lattice was burning in the back of a barbecue, as well as the wooden pergola that was in this area. The emergency teams extinguished the fire with water, checking that there were no more embers.
