The National Police reported yesterday that a resident of Arrecife reported to the Citizen Assistance and Complaint Office (O.D.A.C.) of the capital's Police Station that when he was passing through Cádiz street in this city, a woman approached him to offer her services, and that while he was talking to her, an individual arrived who, brandishing a knife, told him to hand over all the money he had or he would kill him, for which reason the complainant handed over 20 euros. According to the complaint filed, once the assailant fled, the complainant went to the Police Station to file the relevant complaint and, later, accompanied by a police unit, they returned to the scene, where the assailant was still present, who was previously recognized by the complainant, was arrested by the officers who accompanied him, later being identified as Rafael P,B., a native of Las Palmas, a resident of Arrecife and 38 years old, who has four arrests for crimes against property, the last arrest having occurred in April of this year. After the appropriate police procedures were completed, he was placed at the disposal of the Duty Court.
On the other hand, and according to the data provided by the General Directorate of the Police in a statement, officers of the Local Brigade of the Judicial Police of the Arrecife Police Station have arrested Tina B., a native of Monrovia, 32 years old, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of robbery with violence, a fact previously reported by an 82-year-old resident of San Bartolomé, who stated in the Citizen Assistance and Complaint Office (O.D.A.C.) that the detainee followed him for a long time asking him for money and that, as he refused to give it to her, she pounced on him, throwing him to the ground and managing to take 10 euros that he had in his pants pocket. The detainee has 23 arrests for various criminal acts. After the corresponding police procedures were completed, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
