The Civil Guard arrested three people in the municipality of Teguise on the morning of March 28 for an alleged crime of drug trafficking. According to reports from the Benemérita, around 00:29 hours that day, the GIR agents observed a vehicle stopped on the LZ-30 road with its lights off, apparently broken down, with three people inside. Said vehicle occupied part of the road, causing an obvious risk to the rest of the road users, so the police vehicle was placed behind it, at which point the agents observed that one of the occupants threw an object out of the window into a nearby embankment.
When they approached to see what the aforementioned object was, they saw that it was a plastic bag containing a green vegetable substance, apparently marijuana, with an approximate weight of 150 grams, so they were immediately arrested - all have police records - for a crime against public health. The three occupants of the vehicle were transferred to the Civil Guard Post of Costa Teguise.
The three detainees have been placed at the disposal of the corresponding Court, on duty, of Arrecife.
