Neighbors have denounced the "poor condition" of some dogs in a house in Maneje, where there are even "dead puppies." "What is needed for them to enter with an order and take all the dogs away?" asks a citizen, who has published a video on social networks.
According to the Councilor for Health of the Arrecife City Council, Saro González, the events were already reported before the coronavirus crisis broke out and, at that time, a first visit was made to the property. "But the man only let us in once, when he returned he didn't let us in anymore, and the house wasn't as full of garbage as it is now," the councilor pointed out.
Now, after the neighbors' complaints continued, Local Police and the veterinarian went to the house again this Thursday, where there would be about twelve dogs. However, upon arrival, four of the dogs escaped and the rest, who were on the roof, "could not be caught because they were very aggressive."
In addition, according to the councilor, an order is needed to be able to take the animals away. "We are seeing how we can solve this today, whether through the Court or something, to get the animals out of there," said Saro González, who pointed out that Social Affairs personnel are also scheduled to go to the house.
In the video published by a citizen on social networks and which, according to her, was recorded after the Police left the house this Thursday, it is seen how the man shows a dead puppy "provoking the neighbors." Likewise, one of the animals is seen walking along the edge of the roof of the building, where a lot of garbage and accumulated furniture can be seen.
