The brother of the young man who suffered a significant [electric shock->24231] this Tuesday, in a tower near Teguise, was arrested this Wednesday by the Civil Guard. The two young men, who respond to the initials A.R.M. and J.D.R.M., are accused of an alleged crime of robbery with force in things, in an attempt grade.
According to Local Police sources, the individuals had broken the padlock of the exterior door of the light turret and, with the help of a bolt cutter that was found inside the high-voltage enclosure, had cut and separated part of the wiring with the intention of stealing it.
The turret is located on the Lanzarote-1 road at the height of the town of Teguise. This Tuesday, the electric shock that a young man had received in that place was reported, but it was unknown that A.R.M.'s intention was, according to the police, to steal the cable, when he fell to the ground and had to be urgently transferred to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital, where he remains admitted. According to 112, as a result of the discharge he suffered burns on 40 percent of his body.
