Firefighters from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium had to act on Wednesday morning and afternoon due to the rain and the passage of the storm.
Among the incidents they attended, the firefighters went to La Santa, alerted by the flooding of Avenida El Marinero. The main road of this town of Tinajo was completely flooded. Upon arrival, they bailed out the water to leave the road in conditions for traffic.
The rains also left a flooded area behind the National Police of Arrecife. The city council staff had already closed the street with fences. With the help of an electric pump, the firefighters began to bail out water until the street was suitable for traffic.

The passage of rain in Lanzarote, which precedes the Olivier storm, has also left a overflowing manhole on Montaña Clara street in Famara. Faced with this, the firefighters controlled the outflow of water from the manhole.
Likewise, they also had to act due to the flooding of the San Juan de Día school in Haría. Once on the scene, they verified that the water drainage grid was obstructed, full of sand, so they proceeded to clean it.
