A 47-year-old man has been arrested by the Arrecife Local Police for an alleged drug trafficking crime. The arrest of S.D. was carried out by agents assigned to the Citizen Security and Intervention Unit (USCI), as reported by the City Council.
The events took place during a special surveillance operation, when the detainee, upon noticing the police presence, "tried to hide from the agents."
After being intercepted and subjected to an external body search, a total of twelve packages were seized from him, which, pending confirmation by the laboratory, are suspected to contain cocaine and heroin.
In addition, a mobile phone device was seized that could be used for the sale of narcotics, according to the agents.
The detainee, along with the seized effects, was placed at the disposal of the judicial authority.
