A woman has been found dead in the center of Arrecife, between León y Castillo and Franco streets. According to the Local Police of Arrecife, it would be a "drug addict" who, according to initial investigations, would have died from an overdose.
The body has been found in one of the "smoking dens" near Cuatro Esquinas, in front of a furniture store, at 11:56 a.m., according to the Arrecife Local Police. A neighbor raised the alarm and municipal agents, as well as the National Police, went to the scene.
The case is now being handled by the National Police, who, with the help of agents from the Scientific Police, have been collecting evidence at the place where the woman's body has appeared.
The deceased is a 44-year-old woman of Maghrebi origin. Her body was found in one of the abandoned ground-floor houses on León y Castillo street, which are usually used by drug addicts.
The woman's body has been transferred to the coroner and the report has already been given to the Court.
