The seven-year-old girl who was hit by a car this Wednesday in Costa Teguise remains "stable" and "under observation", as La Voz de Lanzarote has been able to confirm.
The minor, born in Lanzarote, was with her mother and aunt in a hairdresser's in the tourist area. She was run over by a vehicle when she was crossing the street, according to sources close to the family.
The girl was seriously injured and was transferred in a medicalized ambulance to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
The accident took place around 5:10 p.m. this Wednesday on Avenida del Mar in the town. The girl had serious multiple injuries.
After being alerted by the Emergency Coordination Center (CECOES), two ambulances, one basic life support and one medicalized, from the Canary Islands Emergency Service were dispatched to the scene. Local Police officers have also attended.
In the first evaluation of the patient, the health personnel highlighted the presence of serious multiple injuries.
