The coordination between the Security Forces and Corps, Local Police and Civil Guard has been decisive for the rapid location of a stolen vehicle.
After learning of the theft by various agents of the Local Police, the information was immediately shared with the rest of the bodies, which allowed that, just a few hours after the complaint was filed, the vehicle was located in a street in Arrecife.
The owner company filed the complaint at the Civil Guard facilities in Costa Teguise on the morning of Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at approximately 10:20 a.m. That same day, at 12:15 p.m., during the surveillance service around the city, agents of the Citizen Attention Operational Group (GOAC) of the Local Police of Arrecife located the vehicle, which was listed as stolen, parked on a street in a neighborhood of the capital of Lanzarote.
The agents of Arrecife, with the support of the Municipal Crane Service, proceeded to its removal and transfer to the municipal facilities, immediately informing the owner company. The person in charge appeared for identification and to formalize the delivery of the vehicle. The report of the actions of the Local Police of Arrecife has been sent to both the National Police and the Civil Guard of Teguise.
The Local Police of Arrecife emphasizes that the collaboration and exchange of information between the different police forces are key to providing a rapid and effective response to criminal acts, thus reinforcing citizen security.
