The National Police have arrested a man who allegedly robbed several storage rooms in a building in Arrecife while disguised as a harlequin. It is E.S., who is 33 years old and of foreign nationality, and, according to the police force, has no police record. The National Police accuses him of robbery with force. Citizen collaboration was "determining" to find him, the police force emphasizes.
The police intervention began after a call to the 091 telephone number from a witness, who alerted that "a man with a black sweatshirt and a harlequin mask had taken advantage of the exit of a vehicle from a community garage, to enter it," explains the Police.
The agents who went to the place located the individual inside that garage, still with the harlequin mask on his face. After checking the surroundings, the police located two forced storage rooms, which is why they carried out his arrest. In the security check, a screwdriver, a mobile phone and a watch were seized.
Once the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority. The police intervention was carried out by members of the Local Citizen Security Brigade of the Arrecife Police Station.
