The wind has reached this Wednesday in Lanzarote 81 kilometers per hour, although the island was not in yellow alert.

Specifically, according to Aemet data, it has been in the station located in Tías where the wind has blown the strongest, reaching 81 kilometers per hour followed by the César Manrique airport where a gust of 80 kilometers per hour was recorded, which caused several flights to be diverted to the airport of Fuerteventura.

In the rest of the island the wind did not rage with such force, in Haría it reached 54, in Tinajo 53 and in Playa Blanca 50 kilometers per hour.

This wind has made the Emergency Consortium intervene in several actions. At about 19.20 hours the firefighters had to go to the neighborhood of San Francisco Javier alerted by the owner of a house because the water tank was about to fall from the roof. The emergency teams proceeded to disconnect the container and lower it to a safe place.

Later, at 20.00 hours the firefighters were warned by the Local Police of Arrecife to go to a construction site in Montañés street because the fences were loose and could fall to the road.

This Thursday the wind will continue to blow strongly and will be from the northeast with probable occasionally very strong gusts that will be up to 68 kilometers per hour.
