Firefighters from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium have rescued this Saturday afternoon, February 15, an elderly woman who was locked in her home. The events took place around 5:30 p.m. in the capital's Valterra neighborhood.

Alerted by the Arrecife Local Police, who were already in the area, the firefighters from the Lanzarote Consortium went to Ajei Street in the capital. Once there, they verified that the elderly woman could not leave the house because she could not open the door of the house.

The firefighters entered through the window of the house and managed to reassure the woman. After that, they changed the cylinder of the door, since the lock was damaged. After alerting the relatives of the situation, they returned to the park.
