The Security and Emergency Consortium (CECOES) has reported several incidents caused by the wind in Lanzarote. In particular, in Reina Sofía street in Puerto del Carmen, firefighters had to intervene after being alerted by the Local Police of Tías. The reason was the fall of a palm tree about ten meters high on some tourist apartments.

According to CECOES, the trunk of the palm tree had broken and the rest fell on the roof of the aforementioned apartments. Given this detachment, there were no injuries or material damage to regret. Also, the upper part of the palm tree "had a significant risk of falling", according to the Consortium.

The Local Police evicted the guests from the nearby apartments and marked the area, preventing people from passing through. Subsequently, the management of a municipal crane was carried out to remove the upper part of the palm tree. Once the palm tree was removed, the service was terminated.

In addition, firefighters also intervened in Alonso Quesada street in Arrecife, after being alerted by the agents of the municipality. In this case, the spotlights of a lamppost were hanging and at risk of falling. For this reason, they disconnected the lamppost to remove them.
