The municipality of Teguise suffered last week a total of 17 robberies. Most of them were in commercial premises, but there was also a break-in at an apartment complex and two robberies in two socio-cultural centers, according to the complaints filed with the Local Police. Most of the robberies, specifically 14, took place on the same day, last Wednesday, December 10, according to the statements of the Councilor for Police of Teguise, Eduardo Tarajano.
According to the data held by the Local Police and the Civil Guard, who will meet this Tuesday to join forces in the lines of investigation, the robberies occurred after business hours and the main hypotheses point to an organized gang, which could be behind the criminal acts.
"It is a very fast and very prepared organized gang," commented the Councilor for Police of Teguise, who did not want to reveal either the amount of what was stolen or the number of people who could be behind the robberies, "in order not to interfere with the investigation."
Likewise, Tarajano emphasized the importance of having citizen collaboration for greater speed and efficiency in the investigation and subsequent arrest of those responsible.
