The passage of storm Claudia through Lanzarote on Thursday, November 13, caused several incidents that required the intervention of the island's Security and Emergency Consortium, the most notable being the collapse of part of the cornice of an abandoned house in Teguise.
According to the Consortium, the first alert came from the CECOES, warning that several pieces of debris had fallen onto the public street in Luca de Tena street. Once at the scene, firefighters proceeded to secure other areas of the cornice that presented a risk of detachment and cordoned off the area with cones and safety tape, before returning to the station.
Minutes later, officers moved to Fray Luis de León street, in Arrecife, after receiving a report from the Local Police about a dangling telephone cable obstructing traffic. The cable was resecured to the facade, leaving it at a safe height.

The third incident took place on the LZ-20, where several roof sheets of an industrial building were detaching due to the strong winds. Firefighters confirmed that some sheets were partially loose and one was completely detached on the roof. With the help of a ladder truck, they secured the unstable pieces with screws and removed those that posed a risk of falling.
After concluding their operations, the teams informed their respective headquarters and returned to the station, with no personal injuries reported in any of the incidents
