Arrested for driving without a license or insurance and testing positive for three different types of drugs

The driver was brought before the Arrecife Court of Instruction on duty after testing positive for cocaine, amphetamines, and opiates

Officers from the Local Police of Arrecife investigated and arrested a 54-year-old man on the afternoon of Sunday, January 25, during a preventive traffic stop, for a crime against road safety.

Upon identifying the driver, officers were able to verify in the Directorate-General for Traffic database that he had a **loss of validity of his driving license** due to the **total loss of assigned points**. Furthermore, the vehicle he was driving was registered in the database as not having mandatory insurance in effect.Finally, and after being subjected to drug tests, the driver tested positive for three types of drugs: cocaine, amphetamines, and opiates

Once the proceedings were carried out by the agents of the Local Police of Arrecife, the driver was placed at the disposal of the Arrecife Court of Instruction on duty, for an alleged crime against road safety.
