A woman allegedly assaulted an officer of the Local Police of Arrecife during an intervention on June 29 in Arrecife. The officers had gone to a block of flats in Caldera Taburiente street in the capital of Lanzarote, following a notice from her partner. This citizen was allegedly disturbing the peace of the neighborhood. According to police sources, this situation was "something already habitual" and the woman launched "insults and threats".
Once on the scene, officers tried to calm her down, but "she wouldn't listen to reason", so she "continued with her intimidation, even threatening to kill several neighbors." During the operation, they transferred her to the health unit, where this neighbor allegedly continued with insults, allegedly hitting an officer, punching him in the chest, police sources report.
After what happened, the woman ended up arrested, accused of a crime of Assault Against an Agent of Authority, Disobedience and Resistance. In addition, agents of the National Police collaborated in the intervention.
