About 50 pigeons died in the fire of a dovecote in Tahíche and two men, 67 and 37 years old, had to be treated and transferred to Molina Orosa due to mild smoke intoxication. The fire took place at 0:55 hours this Friday on Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer Street.
According to the Emergency Consortium, once alerted by the CECOES, they went to the place and found that the dovecote was burning. They were able to save about fifty pigeons but another fifty died.
The firefighters extinguished the fire with water jet and sprayed.
