A 19-year-old woman has been injured of moderate nature by smoke inhalation after a fire that occurred in the illegal complex inhabited by squatters in Costa Teguise, as reported by CECOES.
The fire occurred around 7:00 p.m. in one of the apartments of the skeleton located on Avenida de las Palmeras in front of the Vitalclass Hotel. Once alerted by the Coordinating Emergency Center, an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service, Local Police, Civil Guard and the Emergency Consortium have traveled to the scene.

Once at the scene, the health personnel assisted the affected woman and after being stabilized she was evacuated to the Molina Orosa Hospital. The firefighters were in charge of extinguishing the flames that caused a large column of smoke. All the belongings, mattresses and clothes that were inside have been completely incinerated.
Before the arrival of the emergency teams, some people were in charge of taking furniture and mattresses out of the apartments near the fire.
The police services activated by the Coordinating Center secured the area, facilitated access for emergency resources to the scene of the incident and instructed the corresponding procedures.
