The National Police have arrested in Arrecife a 19-year-old youth with a previous record as the alleged perpetrator of the simulation of a violent robbery of a bicycle, his mobile phone and wallet.
In this way, the boy reported on September 2 that a man approached him at knifepoint and stole, in addition to personal belongings - mobile phone and wallet with 50 euros - a bicycle owned by his workplace, dedicated to the sale, rental and repair of these vehicles.
Thus, the police officers initiated an investigation of what happened, being able to determine that there had really been no violent robbery, which was finally admitted by the complainant.
For all these reasons, they proceeded on September 5 to arrest him, as the alleged perpetrator of a simulation of crime. The detainee told the agents that his boss and owner of the bicycle often did not pay him, so he decided not to return the bicycle.
Finally, the agents continue the police efforts aimed at locating the bicycle valued at 425 euros.
