A woman has disappeared in the vicinity of El Charco de El Palo, in Mala. The complaint was filed by her family this Wednesday with the Civil Guard. After becoming aware of this disappearance, the agents began the search operation.
The missing woman is 42 years old, Austrian nationality and resident in Playa Honda. She is 1.68 centimeters tall, thin and possibly wearing jeans and a sweater.
The Civil Guard, as well as the emergency services of the Island Council, are currently participating in the search efforts. Likewise, the Local Police of Haría, REN, and the members of the Civil Protection of the North are also helping to find this woman.
For the moment, the search has resulted in the finding only of the car of the missing person in the area of El Charco del Palo. This Wednesday at around 12:00 a.m. the search had to be suspended, which has been resumed at 8:00 a.m. this Thursday.
The relatives, present in the search
Now, the emergency teams are searching the area by land, as well as by sea. Several hypotheses are being considered, such as that the woman has suffered an accident or that she has disappeared voluntarily.
The husband of the missing woman and her stepdaughter are following the rescue efforts and are attentive to any clue that is found about the whereabouts of their relative. In recent hours, Emerlan's dog, as well as two Salvamar boats and a diver from the Northern Civil Protection service, have joined the search operation.
