A woman has been injured this Thursday in a spectacular traffic accident on Vía Medular, in Arrecife. The incident occurred at 2:45 p.m. in one of the roundabouts on this road, specifically, where the library is located.
Two vehicles have collided in this area, causing one of them to overturn. Thus, firefighters had to remove one of the occupants of this overturned car through the trunk door, as she had been trapped inside the car.
The injured woman, who was not the driver, is approximately 30 years old and has been transferred to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital, as she presented with polytrauma and a blow to the head, according to reports from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium.
Only this woman had to be evacuated by ambulance. Thus, both the driver of this vehicle and the driver of the other car were unharmed in this accident.
In addition to the firefighters, agents from the Arrecife Local Police, Red Cross personnel, and paramedics from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) attended the scene.
