A 55-year-old foreign woman suffered a less serious ankle fracture after falling in a difficult-to-access area of the Los Ajaches Natural Park, in Playa Blanca, in the municipality of Yaiza.
At 16:11 hours, the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert reporting that a person had fallen in a difficult-to-access area in the aforementioned place.
The 1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.
Civil Protection and Consortium personnel managed to reach the place where the injured woman was, immobilized her and transferred her to the place where the basic life support ambulance was located.
The SUC health personnel assessed and assisted the affected woman, transferring her first to the Playa Blanca Health Center and later to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
The Local Police collaborated with the emergency services and instructed the corresponding procedures.
