A woman has been seriously injured after falling while getting out of a taxi in Lanzarote. The events took place on Juan Carlos I street, Puerto del Carmen, in Tías, according to the press service of the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) 112.
The incident, which occurred at 21:02 this Sunday, affected a 72-year-old woman, who was evacuated by an advanced life support ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) to the Doctor José Molina Orosa hospital with severe head trauma.
At that time, the Coordinating Center received a call reporting that a woman had suffered a fall while getting out of a taxi at the aforementioned address and needed medical assistance. The 112 activated the necessary emergency resources.
Medical personnel from the Canary Emergency Service went to the scene and, after stabilizing the affected woman, transferred her to the aforementioned hospital.
