A street vendor of Senegalese origin got into a fight with agents of the Local Police of Tías after resisting being identified when he was discovered on the street selling different products, a fact prohibited by the municipal ordinances of the conejero City Council. During the scuffle he tried to take the regulation weapon from one of the agents, according to a press release from the council.

The individual, when required by the agents, fled, explains the official statement, "being able to be reached by tripping and falling to the ground." Precisely while he was being identified, he began to utter insults to the agents "and belittle their work."

After trying to leave the place, in Puerto del Carmen, "he begins to physically resist, even tries to take the regulation weapon from one of them, hitting and biting him in a hand", according to the official version of the events. The man was finally arrested and transferred to police stations where the corresponding proceedings were instructed to later be placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
