The Civil Guard has arrested an individual from Tinajo, accused of threatening his partner, of foreign nationality, with a firearm.
The events originated, according to a press release issued by the Armed Institute, last Sunday in Mancha Blanca, municipality of Tinajo, when the aforementioned woman, Irish, 29 years old and resident in Lanzarote, received threats during an argument at the couple's home, during which her sentimental partner carried a hunting shotgun.
When the victim telephoned the Local Police of Tinajo, the man fled the home they both shared. A few minutes later, a patrol of the Civil Guard of the San Bartolomé Post located the alleged aggressor while driving his vehicle through the Yuco neighborhood, in Tinajo, still carrying the aforementioned shotgun.
The agents of the Armed Institute verified the status of the weapon, verified that it had a cartridge inserted in the chamber and, therefore, was prepared to fire a shot.
Immediately afterwards, the civil guards arrested the one who was later identified as E.R.B., 42 years old, native and resident of Tinajo, who is accused of a crime of gender violence.
The firearm was withdrawn from its owner as a precautionary measure, being deposited in the Weapons Intervention of the Civil Guard of Costa Teguise.
The victim, after testifying before the Civil Guard and the Judicial Authority, has returned to her country of origin, while the detainee and the police proceedings instructed were at the disposal of the Investigating Court Number 6 of Arrecife.
