A passenger died this Sunday due to a cardiorespiratory arrest suffered during a flight that had to make an emergency landing in Lanzarote. The plane, from the Iberia Express company, had departed from Tenerife and was heading to Madrid when it had to be diverted, landing at the Lanzarote airport around 6:30 p.m.
The 112 Emergency and Security Coordinating Center received the notice around 6:15 p.m. and dispatched a medicalized ambulance to Guacimeta. However, despite the resuscitation maneuvers that had been performed on board, and those carried out later by the staff of the Canary Emergency Service, they could only confirm her death.
The flight had taken off at 5:15 p.m. from the Tenerife North airport and had been flying for almost an hour when this medical emergency occurred, which forced a landing in Lanzarote and ended with the death of this passenger.
