A man in his 60s is in critical condition after falling from a height of about five meters in the abandoned Pechiguera hotel in Playa Blanca. The event took place this Friday at around 3:30 p.m., when CECOES was alerted.
Local Police agents, the Emergency Consortium and an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service have traveled to the scene.
When the firefighters arrived at the scene, they observed that the person was on a ground floor and that there was no access, so they decided to go down with the help of the ladder. Subsequently, a vacuum splint was placed and they decided to raise him with the help of the cave stretcher.
Once outside, the health personnel assisted the man who presented severe polytrauma and was going to be transferred by ambulance to Molina Orosa. Due to the severity of the injuries, the GES helicopter was activated, which transferred him to the Emergency Consortium and an ambulance took him to the hospital center.
