Firefighters rescued a hiker who suffered a fall in the Ajaches Chico mountain in the municipality of Yaiza, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.
The incident took place at 1:30 p.m. this Tuesday, when CECOES received the alert of the accident. Firefighters, Local Police and an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service went to the scene.
Once at the scene, the firefighters verified that as a result of the fall she had broken a wrist, so they proceeded to immobilize her hand with a splint. They also helped her descend the mountain, as she frequently suffered from dizziness.
Later, the health personnel took charge of her and she was transferred to the José Molina Orosa Hospital.
