A vehicle ended up inside a Playa Blanca establishment after a driver's "oversight", as stated by the Yaiza City Council, who say it happened when he was trying to park his car.
The event took place on Papagayo Avenue on Friday afternoon, and fortunately there were no injuries to regret. In addition, the driver, who was an elderly person, tested negative for alcohol.
The Local Police and firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium went to the scene and found that the accident had affected the main pergola, souvenir merchandise, the main door and also another vehicle that was parked outside the establishment.
The firefighters marked off the area and secured the vehicle, also disconnecting the battery and removing the keys. Also, the Consortium indicates that the City Council staff was asked to install several props to secure the pergola, which was at risk of collapsing as a result of the impact.
After the police report was completed, a crane removed the vehicle from the establishment.
