A diver had to be rescued this Tuesday in Puerto del Carmen, where he was diving with other people. According to Emerlan, the diver began to feel unwell when they were at the bottom, so they began to surface, but while still about 5 meters deep, he began to vomit.
The NGO points out that the lifeguard who was on the beach then jumped into the water to help them and "managed to get him on the boat to bring him closer to the dock."
Afterwards, on the way he went into cardiorespiratory arrest, although they managed to revive him. "Upon our arrival he was conscious and breathing," says Emerlan.
Once stabilized and on land, a medicalized ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service was in charge of transferring him to the Molina Orosa Hospital.
