A 40-year-old diver has died this Friday after suffering an accident with the hull of a boat at sea. The incident took place around 11:00 a.m. on the coast of Yaiza. Upon arrival, the medical staff could only certify the death.
It was the Local Police who alerted the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) and requested medical assistance. 112 then activated the emergency resources, while the diver was transferred to Puerto Calero.
There was staff from the Canary Islands Emergency Service, who could only confirm the diver's death. The Civil Guard has taken charge of the corresponding proceedings.
