A 75-year-old woman was injured last Friday in a house fire in Arrecife. The incident occurred at 7:36 a.m. in a house on Folías Street.

The Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) 112 received a call reporting a fire in a two-story single-family home. 112 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.

When they arrived at the scene, they observed that the 75-year-old woman had minor smoke inhalation. Thus, the health personnel of the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) assisted the affected woman and, after stabilizing her, she was evacuated to the Doctor José Molina Orosa hospital in a basic life support ambulance.

For its part, a team of firefighters from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium extinguished the flames and ventilated the building, while the National and Local Police prepared the appropriate reports and Civil Protection collaborated with the deployed resources.
