A 24-year-old man was slightly injured after overturning his car on Atalaya street in Costa Teguise. The accident took place at approximately 01:00 this Sunday.
Upon arriving at the scene, the firefighters found the vehicle overturned, with an occupant inside, according to the Consortium, "the injured man had a large part of his body on the roof and his head under the hood trapped and pressed by it, he was conscious." For his release, the firefighters lifted the vehicle with the separator, "while the car was being wedged until his head was freed, then a neck brace was put on him and he was extracted on the spinal board, leaving him on the ambulance stretcher," they add from the Consortium.
Once released and stabilized by the paramedics, he was transferred by ambulance to the Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife. At the initial moment of assistance, he presented minor multiple contusions, according to Cecoes.
Agents of the Civil Guard and local police of the municipality of Teguise also went to the scene and have been in charge of instructing the corresponding procedures.
