The names of the winners of the 5th children's and primary school drawing contest 'Paint and take care of your island' have already been published on the websites of the Mercedes Medina Díaz Association (www.asociacionmercedesmedinadiaz.es) and those of the Cabrera Medina business group (www.orvecame.com / www.cicar.com).
Due to the circumstances caused by covid-19, the place, day and time of the awards ceremony on each of the eight Canary Islands will be communicated nominally in October.
Children from the eight Canary Islands have participated in the 2020 edition of the 'Paint and take care of your island' children's and primary school drawing contest, despite the extraordinary circumstances caused by the pandemic in school activities. The theme of this regional competition has been 'Islands without plastic', which was intended to awaken in children the concern towards this "serious threat" that looms over life in the oceans.
The contest is organized by the car concession company Orvecame and the car rental company CICAR —both belonging to the Cabrera Medina business group— and the Mercedes Medina Díaz Association.
