The Classical Orchestra of Lanzarote offered the concert "Arrecife breathes Christmas" last Thursday night. An event directed by Roberto Fuentes that was held next to the Music Kiosk in the José Ramírez Cerdá park before the watchful eye of the numerous public that filled the permitted capacity.

The event began with a parody about the rain which prevented this concert from taking place on November 26. The String Quartet performed Tchaikovski's Nutcracker March first, followed by J. Strauss' Annen Polka.

Next, the nearly 30 white voices of the Maresía Choir from the Benito Méndez school, directed by Sergio Galán, performed, among other compositions, "Where are you going Alfonso XII", "Chocolate Molinillo", Mira que eres Linda, ending with La Cunita, a Christmas carol typical of these dates. Then the Children's Choir of the Antonio Zerolo school, directed by Merche Arcas, Regla Santana, Acorayda Cabrera and Professor Miguel Cabrera on the keyboard, took the stage. They performed songs such as Mira al Pasar, Burrito de Orejas Largas, ending with a song composed for the occasion dedicated to the island of La Palma entitled "La isla bonita".

Before leaving the stage, the students, about 60 of them, joined by the soprano María Hernández, performed Leonard Cohen's famous composition "Halleluja", with a magnificent choreography by the students of the Fide Parrilla Dance School, which the public rewarded with prolonged applause.

The show ended with the intervention of the String Quartet of the Classical Orchestra of Lanzarote performing two songs to which the soprano María Hernández also joined, surprising the public with her great voice and versatility with songs such as "HaveYourself a Merrylitt" and Más Allá de Gloria Estefan, which was choreographed by the actor Fran Vega.
