"Isleña Christmas" continues to tour all the places on the island. This time it was the sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores. After the celebration of the Eucharist on Friday afternoon, the Rancho de Pascuas de Haría surprised the parishioners.

The members of the Rancho de Pascua entered the hermitage singing "El Corrido" until they reached the Main Altar and once there, the musical director Mingo Cedrés, addressed the public recounting part of the history that is preserved in the archives and that currently place the origin of the Rancho de Pascua de Haría at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. "A contrasted fact places the appearance or resurgence of the Rancho around the year 1915, being one of the main founders, Juan García", explained Cedrés.

He also pointed out that "the scarce historical references indicate that it was at its peak until approximately the 40s and 50s, suffering a decadent period until approximately the 70s has had continuity since then".

The Rancho de Pascua de Haría is made up of about 20 members between men and women, mainly young people, currently counting on the small quarry. The Rancho is characterized by preserving the melodies and songs known since the resurgence of the Rancho in the decade of the 70s. The instruments that characterize this Rancho are guitars, lutes, swords, bone, requinto, timple, splinters, tambourines and castanets.

The chosen repertoire and that with every detail was presented by the musical director was the entrance and exit with "El Corrido", also known as "Santo Domingo de Posada", followed by "Venid Pastorcillo", Santa Barbara Bendita", old corrido rescued and incorporated last year.

The parish priest of San Roque and Rector of the Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores, Francisco José García, a lover of traditions, shared a few minutes with the musical director, taking an interest in the history of the Rancho and congratulating them on the magnificent performance. Mingo also had words of thanks for the welcome received, indicating that they felt very comfortable and that the church is the ideal place for the performances of the Ranchos de Pascua.
