This week the third Lanzarote Book Fair is celebrated, which is held in San Bartolomé and will be attended by, among others, the well-known writers, the journalist Nieves Concostrina, the authors behind Carmen Mola, the Colombian author Juan Gabriel Vasquez, or the professor Isabel Soler, Lusitanian and specialized in the transoceanic routes of the Renaissance.

Concostrina will also present a show with the musician Fetén Fetén that will review the history of the Spanish Bourbons. The Teleclub artistic meeting also begins, which begins in El Islote next Wednesday with the presence of the singer Marilia Monzón.

In the music section there will be, among others, a proximity concert in Arrecife. In addition, dance and the beginnings of cinema will have a relevant role. Happy holidays to the residents of Uga, which are celebrated these days.

 

LITERATURE

 

III Lanzarote Book Fair

This Thursday, May 8, the III Lanzarote Literary Fair kicks off, at 4:45 p.m., in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento of San Bartolomé and will occupy the historic center of the town and the heritage facilities of Casa Cerdeña and the Municipal Theater.

Among others, the well-known authors Nieves Concostrina, the authors behind Carmen Mola, the Colombian author Juan Gabriel Vasquez, or the professor Isabel Soler will attend.

This Thursday will be the first of four days of activities dedicated to literature and the performing arts.

The volume brings together three of his most memorable shows, which are a testament to the power of humor to confront and share experiences.

This research project by the anthropologist and sociologist Amorimun delves into the intangible heritage of Arrecife, through the Los Buches marine parade.

Teleclub Lanzarote

As an integral part of the island's twelfth art biennial, Teleclub Lanzarote is a laboratory/workshop/residence for artistic training.

Once Upon a Time in Borbonia

On stage, together with the journalist Nieves Concostrina and the musician Fetén Fetén, eight
kings and queens will review together with them an important
stage in the history of Spain.

Proximity concerts

The concert 'Arrecife de Mar y Música. Life stories and music by the sea', performed by the pianist María Antonia Iglesias, accompanied on clarinet by Nino Díaz.

The repertoire includes pieces by Chopin and Beethoven, among others.

XII edition of the Meeting of Timplistas of La Graciosa

The event that opens with a concert by Pedro Umpiérrez accompanied by Fernando Angulo on drums, Gabriel Rodríguez on flute and Adán Moreno on guitar.

The following day, David Duque from Tenerife takes to the stage accompanied by the varied instrumentalist Félix Morales, the bassist Fran Suárez and the percussionist Karina Martín.

Joaquín Rodríguez 'Pollo de Uga'

From salsa to contemporary

The teacher Reinier Alfonso offers a workshop in which the decomposition of the sequences and traditional figures of the "salsa" Son and Cuban Casino will be experienced, creating a synergy between salsa and contemporary dance.

Lumière, the adventure continues

The missing part, a circle in search of happiness

The theater company La Tegala presents a work that invites an intimate reflection on happiness, love and authenticity. The staging combines visual magic with an emotional narrative using neon thread and black light puppets.
