Sometimes some dreams come true, as happened to the collaborator of Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero María Isabel Rodríguez Cejas. Her collaboration in the poetic section on Friday mornings was that window to which María Isabel looked out, telling everything she was writing in some notebook and also on pieces of paper for more than 25 years.
On Thursday night, María Isabel's dream came true. At 9 p.m., at the Casa-Museo del Timple in Teguise, her book 'My Life Step by Step' was presented. The presentation was given by the Councilor for Culture of the Teguise City Council, Olivia Duque, and her neighbor Carmen María Brito, a very important pillar, since she was in charge of transcribing each of the 353 pages of the book.
The Casa-Museo room was too small to house all those who wanted to accompany María Isabel. Her family, neighbors and friends gathered there. At the end of the event, each of those present was given a copy of the book, which was published by the Teguise City Council. Many of them took it signed by the author, who, as she said in her presentation, felt like a queen on such a special day that she will never forget.
María Isabel Rodríguez Cejas was born in Teguise in the 1940s and, years later, moved to the Altavista neighborhood. Married and mother of seven children, she has always been characterized by her dedication to her family. In the few free moments she had, she dedicated herself to writing some of those experiences that marked her life and that have now been captured in her book.
